MARIA BRISBANE: PRIVATE WEALTH ADVISOR AND PHILANTHROPIST

Maria Brisbane, CFA, is a New York-based Private Wealth Advisor widely recognized within the industry, including through her inclusion in Forbes and Barron’s advisor rankings. She manages tailored equity portfolios for individuals, families, not-for-profit organizations, and endowments and has been a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder since 1999. Maria was a Managing Director and Portfolio Manager at Merrill Private Wealth Management for sixteen years, following earlier roles as a Portfolio Manager at U.S. Trust (now Bank of America Private Bank) and Brown Brothers Harriman. During the 1980s, she also served for three years as a Press Associate for New York City Mayor Edward I. Koch. She is an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Finance Division at Columbia Business School.

Maria is a member of Havens Relief Fund Society, a charitable organization that provides emergency grants to low-income individuals or families facing financial crises. She currently serves as a board member of the Cancer Research and Treatment Fund. She is also a high-level member of Aperture Foundation, a photography non-profit supportive of artists. Maria previously served as an advisor to The Grass Foundation, a neuroscience non-profit organization, and was a member of the Professional Advisory Committee of Central Park Conservancy.
