Maria Brisbane is an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Finance Division at Columbia Business School, where her areas of expertise include financial institutions and wealth management. She teaches the MBA course Practice of Wealth Management for High-Net-Worth Clients through the Heilbrunn Center for Graham & Dodd Investing. The course examines goals-based wealth strategies, macroeconomic environments, investment considerations, and the family dynamics that shape wealth management for high-net-worth clients.

Maria Brisbane is also an active participant in the Heilbrunn Center’s programming on institutional wealth management and investing. She regularly contributes to Columbia Business School forums and investment discussions for MBA students and industry professionals. In 2026, she served as moderator of the “Best Ideas” Panel at the Heilbrunn Center’s 29th Annual Columbia Student Investment Management Association (CSIMA) Conference, leading a discussion with senior investment professionals from Apis Capital Investors, Egerton, and Ocean Park Investments. Through her teaching and participation in Columbia’s investment programming, Brisbane brings practical experience in wealth management, investing, macroeconomic analysis, and family wealth strategy to the Business School community.
